2023 SVPA Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for setting policy, implementing programs, and representing the interests of our members. The board meets the fourth Tuesday of the month February – November.
President
Kathy A. Bailey, J.D., CRP, C.C.L.S.
Kathy received her Bachelor degree in English from Arizona State University and her Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento, CA. She previously taught in the paralegal program at Heald College for over 5 years. She has worked in a variety of legal roles in corporate, government, small and large law firms. Ms. Bailey is currently employed at Singleton Schreiber LLP and is dedicated to helping others reach their full potential. Ms. Bailey served as the SVPA Vice President of Education for two years prior to becoming president in 2018.

Lisia Anderson
Lisia received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Weber State University and is currently working on completing her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice at Weber State University as well. She studied at American River College where she completed her Associate degree in Legal Studies. She has worked in a variety of legal roles in corporate and small and mid-sized law firms. Ms. Anderson is currently employed at Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann & Girard. She loves mentoring others who are involved in the profession. She has served as the Vice President of Membership since 2000.

Krista Patterson
Over the course of 16 years, Krista has provided litigation support in a wide range of law including labor and employment, business and facilities, and natural resources. Krista obtained her Paralegal Studies Certificate from UC Davis California in February 2022, and is working side-by side with the firm’s paralegals gaining valuable knowledge to provide our clients with the superior level of service they expect. Krista is a problem solver with a simple approach to her work: understanding the needs of clients and working toward collaborative, creative, and practical solutions.

Bethany McNutt
Bethany started her career in workers' compensation and is currently a personal injury paralegal for a sole practitioner in the greater Sacramento area. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies, with a minor in Paralegal Studies from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies (approved by the American Bar Association) from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Community & Technical College, and an Associate in Science from Sierra College. Currently, Bethany is pursuing a graduate degree in Justice Management with a concentration in Executive Court/Agency Administration at the University of Nevada Reno. She has volunteered with various non-profit legal organizations in the Northern California area and is passionate about closing the justice gap. Bethany has been a SVPA member since 2020 and is excited for the opportunity to join SVPA as a board director.

Alisa Razumovsky
Alisa graduated from San Diego State with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. In 2011, she earned her paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego and she began her paralegal career working in Business Immigration law for five years. She currently works in the field of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as a Case Manager for JAMS Sacramento. Alisa is passionate about the legal profession and appreciates the diversity that it has to offer. With a desire to serve her community, she is committed to advancing the Paralegal profession, particularly in the Sacramento area. Alisa has a proven her dedication to this commitment by serving as an SVPA director for the past two years and is excited for the opportunity to continue her service as a director.
